“I’m still involved. I never give up,” producer Stacey Sher recently toldDeadline. “It’s not imminent, but it is not ever far from my mind. Rick [Yorn], Leo [DiCaprio], Jen [Davisson], and Mr. Scorsese; we’re all still involved.”

Operating in the late 19th century, Holmes is said to have killed anywhere from 27 to 200 people in his infamous World’s Fair Hotel, which is believed to have included a secret gas chamber, dissecting room, and crematorium. The former pharmacist has inspired many characters across movies, TV, and even video games, such as Marvel star Evan Peters' James March in the fifth season of American Horror Story andThe Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me.
