How to get the Crossbow in Alan Wake 2 and where to find it

The Alan Wake 2 crossbow is a solid weapon for Saga, helping her fight the Taken, but it’s locked away in a stash near Coffee World. It’s a three-digit padlock stash too, so that means you’ve got to figure out the code from the nearby firing range targets. Once you’ve got the crossbow, equip it for Saga as it’s one of the most powerfulAlan Wake 2 weaponsin the right hands, though it does have a slow reload. It’s also just one of several weapons you can collect for Saga inAlan Wake 2, and it’s well worth having for the early-to-mid stages. To guide you through cracking the stash open and getting the crossbow in Alan Wake 2, I’ve got everything you need laid out below.
The Alan Wake 2 crossbow can be found in a cult stash in the Watery area, marked on the map above. Look out for a target range near the hut which works as a safe room once you get the power on. You can get it on your first visit to Watery, just by following the main story and with only a minor detour to the West when you head towards Coffee World.
Because it’s part of theAlan Wake 2 Cult Stash locationsit can’t be as simple as just picking it up, andthe Alan Wake 2 crossbow code is 5 2 7.
You can actually work out the code you need by looking at the crossbow bolts fired into the numbered targets just to the right of the stash box. A single bolt shot into 5, two bolts shot into 2, and three fired into 7. The number of bolts in each one indicates the order you enter the related digits.

It might not be the most obvious challenge but at least it’s not as bad as theAlan Wake 2 battery stash puzzle. Trust me, you’ll need a guide for that one.
The crossbow is a solid weapon best reserved for slow enemies at long range. Firing quickly is difficult, even with the upgrade that allows you to fire it twice before it incredibly slow reload. You’ll need to find theAlan Wake 2 lunch boxesfor that useful upgrade. So it’s best used as a sniper or a single use weapon to soften up enemies before switching to faster firing options. Another big advantage is that you can pick up the bolts you fire and reuse them sometimes. I’m not entirely sure of the percentages, but I found that bolts could be retrieved roughly fifty percent of the time at most.
