The Assassin’s Creed Mirage book puzzle appears when Basim is hunting down his final target in the Serpent’s Nest. There aren’t many puzzles inAssassin’s Creed Mirage, so this is a bit of a surprise that comes a bit out of nowhere. The short version is that during this mission, the person you’re chasing hides in a chamber which can only be opened by solving a book puzzle using one of Arib’s poems.
If you’re having problems then I’ve laid out the exact puzzle solution below so that you can find the hidden chamber where Basim’s final assassination target is lurking.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage book puzzle solution
There are four pedestals around the balcony area in the library room you find during The Serpent’s Nest mission. You’ll be able to place one of the four books you will have in your possession on each - black, blue, yellow, and white.
The key to figuring out the Assassin’s Creed Mirage book puzzle is firstly the poem itself, which involves themes that correlate to the book colors.

The four things marked in bold above are the key to solving this puzzle - albeit not quite in that order. Each has an obvious color associated with it so Ocean is the blue book, the desert is the yellow book, cobra is the black book, and the dove is white book.
Now you just have top figuring out the order. If you go down to the level below and look back up, you’ll be able to see glowing images using your Eagle Vision. They go all around the ceiling, but just look at the ones above where each pedestal is, as you can see below (use the arrows to switch between the two images).
From left to right, we’ve got: wave symbol for the ocean or blue book, then the desert symbol for the yellow book…
…followed by the cobra/snake for the black book, and the dove for the white book.
Using the word/color associations from earlier, you’ll now know that -starting from the pedestal furthest from the stairs- the order goes:
White (for dove)
Black (for cobra)
Yellow (for desert)
Blue (for ocean)
This will then cause a bookcase on the lower floor to drop down, revealing a small room behind it with a ladder you can take to descend to a hidden chamber and your objective.
