A developer brought in to work on the upcoming The Last of Us multiplayer game has leftNaughty Dogafter less than a year.

Prior to Naughty Dog, Howard worked atUbisoftand Epic - working onFortnite’s battle pass system. This developer’s prior work history makes a lot of sense since it was suspected thatThe Last of Us multiplayer game might be free to playlast year. Other reports have revealed that the game is supposedly “very, very live service-y” although since the game wasdelayedearlier this year, there’s a chance some of this info has changed during development.

Although not confirmation of anything specific, a look at Howard’sTwitteraccount reveals that the developer is dealing with “funemployment” as of September 27, which lines up with the dates listed on LinkedIn.

While we wait to hear more about the project, take a look at ourgames like The Last of Uslist.

After studying Film Studies and Creative Writing at university, I was lucky enough to land a job as an intern at Player Two PR where I helped to release a number of indie titles. I then got even luckier when I became a Trainee News Writer at GamesRadar+ before being promoted to a fully-fledged News Writer after a year and a half of training.  My expertise lies in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, cozy indies, and The Last of Us, but especially in the Kingdom Hearts series. I’m also known to write about the odd Korean drama for the Entertainment team every now and then.
