If you’re heading into the weekend wondering if you’ll get your hands on some PlayStation Portal stock you’re in luck. We’re still seeing plenty of handhelds lining the shelves right now, with consoles available in both the US and UK this week.
We were on the front line when the PS5 refused to stay in stock, so we know a thing or two about sniffing out in demand products. We’ve put all that experience to good use, keeping you updated on all the latest retailer movements every day until PlayStation Portal stock balances out.
Where to buy PlayStation Portal in the US
AmazonIn stock nowAmazon restocked the PlayStation Portal on May 6 and has been holding out strong since then. That means you can score yourself a handheld and speedy Prime shipping.
Best BuyIn stock nowBest Buy is back in the game, with a new PlayStation Portal stock drop landing this morning. We’re still seeing handhelds up for grabs here, but after the drought last week we wouldn’t take them for granted.
WalmartIn stock nowWalmart’s back in the game this week as well. The retailer has the PlayStation Portal listed for its regular MSRP for the first time in a while.
PlayStation DirectIn stock nowIf you want to head straight to the source you’ll be going to Sony’s PlayStation Direct page. Stock is available here, but we don’t know how much longer those units can hold out.
GameStopLast restock: April 12GameStop regularly shows its ‘Add to Cart’ option before kicking you out at checkout when stock is, in fact, out. However, we have seen some orders going through so this is certainly one to keep an eye on.
AmazonIn stock nowAfter a brief departure from the PlayStation Portal game, Amazon is back in business. The retailer has a new wave of handhelds on the shelves with speedy Prime shipping.
VeryIn stock nowVery has the PlayStation Portal in stock and with no delay to shipping. Considering previous restocks had pre-order signs on them (and around a week of waiting until delivery) that’s a win.
CurrysIn stock nowCurrys is back in the PlayStation Portal stock game, with the handheld available to buy right now. We don’t know how long this stock will last, though.
ArgosIn stock nowArgos has the PlayStation Portal in stock, but you’ll need to check your local area for availability. We’ve tried a range of different postcodes and keep coming up with handhelds ready to ship or be collected, so odds are in your favor.
EEIn stock nowEE is also in the game this week, with its own restock this morning. Delivery is also set for 1-3 working days here as well.
GameIn stock nowGame once again has PlayStation Portal devices on the shelves, with no need to pick up an extra accessory to secure your handheld.
PlayStation DirectIn stock nowPlayStation Direct ran out of PlayStation Portal stock late last week, but we’re seeing more units back on the shelves today. We won’t take this for granted, though, so don’t wait around too long.
The PlayStation Portal price is $199.99 / £199.99 / AU$329.95. If you see it selling for more than that, it’s likely to be a third-party scalper trying to make you fall for an overpriced unit.
The PlayStation Portal is a pricey remote player, but if you regularly find yourself without rights to the TV in the evenings it could be a godsend. The tablet is wrapped by a DualSense controller giving you the full PS5 experience without having to take up the big screen, giving it a boost in functionality and ease of use over cheaper alternatives like theBackbone OneorGameSir G8 Galileomobile controllers (and the phone you’ll need to run it). However, the PlayStation Portal isonlyfor those who already have a PS5 as it requires the console itself to do all the heavy lifting, simply casting the on-screen action to your Portal device. If you don’t have a PS5, you shouldn’t buy the PlayStation Portal.
We’re seeing plenty of PlayStation Portal devices on the shelves in both the US and UK now, which is certainly a good sign. We wouldn’t wait too long to pull the trigger if you’re keen, but with so many retailers holding onto their stock for multiple days in a row now it’s likely we could be nearing the end of stock woes.
We’re also rounding up all thebest PS5 accessoriesand plenty morePS5 dealsif you’re after console discounts and bundles.
