Yes, Prime Day monitor deals are only available to Prime subscribers, but there’s a way to gain access for free. If you’ve new to the service, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial, and you’ll be able to cancel before any monthly costs kick in. That way, you’ll get free next day delivery on any discounted screens you come across, and specific discounts will become available to you.
We’d also advise keeping an eye out for deals elsewhere too. Walmart, Best Buy, and various other rivals have a habit of launching their own deals in line with Prime Day events, and sometimes the offers are better. This could be a great option if you’re not into the idea of signing up for Amazon Prime, so keep your options open in terms of retailers.
A 144Hz gaming monitor is absolutely worth the investment if you play first-person shooters, battle royales, or similar online games with competitive elements. Not only does the responsiveness give you an edge over monitors with lesser displays but it generally creates a better overall experience by being able to keep up with the action. It’s ideal for games like Apex Legends, Call of Duty: Warzone, or Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.
Some of our favorite brands include Acer, Asus, Alienware, Dell, Samsung, and LG, and you’ve likely heard of many longstanding companies. That said, there are some options out there without a recognisable brand that provide a good experience, and Prime Day often features deals on these models. For the most part, we’d advise sticking to products we’ve tested, as that way you can rest assured they are good quality.
For the most part, the cheapest monitors during Prime Day will be older 1080p models that already feature a low price tag. In the past we’ve witnessed screens that cost around $120 drop below $100, while more expensive screens receive a larger discount proportionate to their price tag.
Screens of all shapes, sizes, and specs will drop in price during Prime Day, and we’ve witnessed some spectacular savings in previous years. From whopping ultrawide panels like theSamsungOdyssey Neo G9 (down from $2,299.99 to $1,308.63) to the super cheapASUSVP228QG, there’s usually something to fit most budgets.
Dell also likes to join in on the Prime Day fun, with monitors to be found both at Amazon and direct. Naturally, we’ll be keeping an eye on our current favorite screen, theAlienware 34 AW3423DW, but there are a few models that could show up to the fold. Ideally, it’ll drop under $800, but anything under a grand would still be a decent saving.
At the mid to entry-level side of things, you’re more likely to save between $80-150 on most monitors. By in large, screens at this price point are either 1080p or 1440p, but often feature faster refresh rates and useful PC gaming features. TheAcerED273U Abmiipx serves as a nice example of what’s possible during a Prime Day event, as Amazon dropped its price from $259.99 to $173.95. A pretty nifty saving on a curved 75Hz display, and one that’s sure to appeal to lower-spec PC gamers and anyone looking for an affordable desktopPS5 monitor.
One thing that is worthwhile is considering lesser-known brands. Don’t get us wrong, we’d advise against jumping at deals that are too good to be true, but there are displays out there that cost far less despite featuring fantastic specs. A great example is theKTC G27P6, a screen that uses the sameLGOLED panel as theCorsair Xeneon 27QHD240and is known to drop under $600 even outside of Prime Day. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this great value display, as it could be one of the best deals this year.
As for newcomers that may receive a tasty discount, I’ll be keeping an eye on theLG Ultragear 32GS95UE-BandSamsung Odyssey OLED G6. The latter 4K screen will hopefully make its away below $1,000 at some point during the same season, and I’ll be holding out for Samsung’s QHD screen reaching under $600.

Luckily, there are options out there that’ll help you cut the cord, and we suspect a few more might show up for the big event. That’s a huge win for any of you planning to usher in the holiday season using thebest gaming handheld, as lightweight screens can make for a killer on-the-go gaming setup for parties, camping, and other outdoor activities.
There are a variety of unknown and budget brands out there, and you might already be eyeing up a bargain screen. However, if you’re holding out for something by a well-known brand, you’ll want to keep an eye on the likes of ASUS' ROG Strix 17.3-inch portable monitor. Armed with a 240Hz panel, this on-the-go solution has what it takes to keep up with dedicated desktop displays, and its built in battery will provide up to three hours of cordless performance using the faster refresh rate.
It’s also worth keeping an eye out for theJsaux FlipGo, a dual portable monitor that works great with laptops and PC. The mobile screen hasn’t hit Amazon as of yet, but when it does, it’s a strong contender for a Prime Day discount. If you want to stick to as near $100 as possible, the Verbatim Portable Touchscreen Monitor is also a solid option, as we’re hoping it’ll dip from $219.99 to just under $130. Just keep in mind that not every option will boast qualities like a built-in battery, so make sure to carefully consider your setup needs before clicking buy.
