Wednesday, July 17:Prime Day will end at midnight tonight, and that means a few gaming deals have gone out of stock. I’ve removed the old offers and added a couple of new recommendations to replace them.
Prime Day was supposed to kick off today, but nobody seems to have told whoever’s in charge of the Amazon gaming deals - some eye-catching bargains started to creep out from cover earlier this week. More importantly, they were actually good.
Don’t get me wrong. I’ve been covering sales like Prime Day for a long time, and there arealwaysgaming deals that test my resolve not to give in and buy all the shiny things. But this year looks particularly good as far as discounts go, so I’ve gathered a handful that I think are especially enticing. These are the ones I’m personally keeping an eye on.
For a better look at the sale as a whole, don’t miss our guide to the fullPrime Day gaming deals- it’s regularly updated with all the latest offers.
Prime Day gaming deals at a glance
Assassin’s Creed Mirage (PS5) |$49.99$23.70 at AmazonSave $26 -The latest Assassin’s Creed has made a leap of faith to its lowest ever price as part of the Prime Day deals, and because I was always keener on the stealth-based original games, this offer immediately caught my eye. Would you rather play on Xbox? That version of the game has the sameall-time low price at Amazon.Buy it if:✅ You like classic stealth mechanics✅ You prefer a smaller map✅ You want that hidden blade backDon’t buy it if:❌ You prefer AC’s more action-oriented games❌ You like massive open-worlds

Mansions of Madness |$109.99$79.99 at AmazonSave $30 -I’ve often heard that this game is like one of my all-time favorites, Betrayal at House on the Hill, so I’m definitely keeping an eye on it now that it’s hit its lowest price in around seven months. From my experience, Mansions of Madness almostnevergoes this cheap either.Buy it if:✅ You want a spooky game✅ You like horror and mysteries✅ You’re a fan of Arkham/CthulhuDon’t buy it if:❌ You aren’t a fan of intense games❌ You’re OK to wait for a better discountPrice check:💲Walmart | $87.99💲Best Buy | Out of stock⭐UK price:£109.99£78.95 at Chaos Cards
Meta Quest 3 128GB|$499.99$429.99 at AmazonSave $70- This is the lowest price our team of bargain-hunters has been able to find on the new and improved headset. Because I’m a huge fan of VR and am looking enviously at those Meta Quest 3-only games on the horizon (like Batman: Arkham Shadow), this is at the top of my list for Prime Day.Buy it if:✅ You want accessible VR✅ You’re OK with 12GB storage✅ You’re interested in mixed realityDon’t buy it if:❌ You’re happy with the Quest 2❌ You’re not convinced it isn’t a fadPrice check:💲Best Buy | $449.99💲Walmart | $499.99⭐UK price:£479.99£399.99 at Very
SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless (PC + Xbox) |$349.99$272 at AmazonSave $75 -My manager maintains that this is the best gaming headset you can get right now, bar none… and considering how they cover tech for a living, that’s quite the recommendation. Because we’ve never seen this one go for less, maybe now is the time to dive in.Buy it if:✅You want best-in-class sound✅ You have a PC and a console✅You think wires are so last decadeDon’t buy it if:❌You only play one platform❌ You’re happy with a cheap headsetPrice check:💲Walmart | $329.95💲Best Buy | $349.99⭐UK:£329.99£246.99 at Amazon
Super Mario RPG (Switch) |$59.99$39.78 at AmazonSave $20 -I missed Super Mario RPG when it first arrived years ago, so I’m not gonna be left out a second time now that the remake is here. Prime Day has given us an impressive reduction that is just a dollar or so off the game’s lowest ever price.Buy it if:✅ You enjoy turn-based strategy✅ You want something a bit different✅ You missed the original releaseDon’t buy it if:❌ You want standard Mario platforming❌ You didn’t enjoy the originalPrice check:💲Walmart | $39.98💲Best Buy | $39.99⭐UK price:£49.99£37.99 at Argos
Samsung Odyssey G55C (32-Inch)|$329.99$219.99at AmazonSave $110 -My current work monitor is actually an old TV pulling double duty, so my setup could certainly benefit from a screen upgrade. As it so happens, this excellent panel with its speedy 165Hz response time and 1440p resolution means that it’s an incredibly tempting Prime Day discount.Buy it if:✅ You want a lightning-fast response time✅ You’re into competitive games✅ You’re planning some late-night marathon sessionsDon’t buy it if:❌ You want to play in 4K❌ You need a smaller sizePrice check:💲Best Buy | $259.99⭐UK price:£269.99£219 at Samsung
