Black Friday deals are now in their final hours, so I’ve been gathering all the biggest price drops on the Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox, and PC tech and games that we recommend before it’s too late. I’m not just stuffing this page with any old price cut, though.
You’ll only find games and gadgets that I’ve had hands-on experience with on this page (or the tech that our GamesRadar+ Hardware team recommends). Limiting my search to those parameters meant a whole wad of savings to sort through, though, so I’ve shortlisted those offers based on price history. Anything that’s been cheaper in the past was out - I’m only interested in record-low prices today. After all that searching, I’ve been left with the 75 best discounts on the highest quality tech and titles that gamers need to see today.
Those on the hunt for Nintendo Switch deals are enjoying a particularly impressive Black Friday this year, with record-low prices on consoles and games alike (Walmart has just dropped a whole new roster of discounts to boot). However, PS5 players are also getting in on the action with consoles sitting cheaper than ever and a massive range of savings on games as well.
I’ve been tracking Black Friday deals for over five years, learning retailer tricks, finding the best stores, and watching trends emerge. That means I know what a good deal looks like, where to look for them, and how to make sure they’re legit. I track prices and test hardware year-round so that you know you’re not just getting a great rate, you’re also getting a quality product that proves its value.

Genki Covert Dock Mini |$49.99$31.99 at AmazonSave $18 -Prime members can save nearly $20 on the Genki Covert Dock Mini - a smaller version of the full-blown Covert Dock 2 above. You’re dropping your charging power and removing that USB-A port, but if you just want a cheap docking alternative there’s nothing else I’d recommend more.
Genki ShadowCast 2 |$49.99$39.99 at AmazonSave $10 -The Genki ShadowCast is actually a cheap capture card, but I just use it to play Nintendo Switch games on my iPad. Simply connect it to your dock and then you can play on anything with a USB-C port. Amazon has returned the second generation model to its lowest price yet in this week’s Black Friday deals.

PS5 Slim | DualSense Controller |$569.98$474.98 at WalmartSave $95 -If you’re picking up a separate controller for your new PS5 this Black Friday, you’ll need to check out this bundle from Walmart. The retailer now has the PS5 Slim and an extra gamepad for just $474.98 - impressive considering you’re only spending $50 on the controller compared to other discounts and it’s currently only down to $54.99 elsewhere.
PS5 Slim Digital |$449.99$374 at WalmartSave $75.99 -If you don’t need the disc drive straight away, the Digital version is available for a much lower price - you’re saving the full $75 here and grabbing the same PS5 system for $50 less than the disc model. That’s still less than the price of a disc drive by itself, though, so if you do have physical games the full console is the better buy right now.

Razer Viper V2 Pro |$149.99$79.99 at AmazonSave $70 -The Razer Viper V2 Pro was my top pick for the best rodent on the market for years - until the newer V3 Pro came along. Still, this gaming mouse is no slouch, with its flatter, skinnier form factor it actually feels more nimble on the battlefield if you prefer a fingertip grip or have smaller hands. Amazon was previously stuck at a $99.99 sale price on this model, but that’s just given way to an extra $20 discount this Black Friday.

When will Black Friday deals begin?
Black Friday officially starts at midnight on the morning of Friday November 29, but we’ve actually seen early discounts landing on the shelves since the start of the month. Amazon, Walmart, Newegg, and Best Buy have been busy discounting everything from consoles to games and accessories over the last few weeks, slowly gathering their full sale together ahead of this week.
It’s often these early discounts that form the majority of official Black Friday deals when the time comes, with a few extras thrown in for good measure. While there’s no doubt surprises to come on Friday, then, we’re actually already in the middle of this year’s Black Friday event.
Should you buy early Black Friday deals?
Of course, being so close to Black Friday itself it can be nerve-wracking jumping in ahead of time. There are no guarantees when it comes to holiday sales, but we can make some educated guesses based on previous years. I don’t tend to see too many major saving increases between now and the main event. If a product is already on sale right now, it’s not likely to drop too much further on the day itself. Of course, the cheaper the price the less of a risk. If you’re eyeing up a premium TV and it sheds another couple of percent you could be out a few hundred dollars. A cheap Xbox controller though? It’s only likely to drop by another couple of bucks if anything.
In general, it’s the products thataren’ton sale right now that will see the biggest on-the-day savings. They may have been discounted over the last few weeks and jumped back up in price in recent days, or they may have never taken a price cut before. If either of these are the case I would definitely wait to see what Friday has in store before diving into early deals.

After the Nintendo Switch instead? Head to Walmart
Amazon is out of stock and Best Buy doesn’t offer these bundles online anymore. That means we’re heading to Walmart for Nintendo Switch deals this Black Friday. Thankfully, there’s an excellent discount there waiting for us. A free copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and 12 months of Nintendo Switch Online was already looking pretty strong at the full $349.99 price of the console, but the big-box store has just dropped that price to $299. That means you’re saving on the console itselfandscoring a bunch of freebies.
Best Buy does technically have a lower price than this, at $274.99 but you’ll need to into your local store to see it.

Top Tip: Price check
Black Friday is a particularly competitive time of year, where retailers can sometimes change their prices minute to minute to make sure they’re beating others. Most stores will price match each other to ensure they stay on top, so it’s well worth making sure you’re getting the web’s best price. In the US, I always check between Walmart, Best Buy, and Amazon. However, PCs, tablets, and laptops should also be checked against sites like Newegg, B&H Photo, and Microcenter.
In the UK, it’s always worth checking Very, Amazon, and Argos. These three can sometimes undercut each other with a slightly larger price drop, whereas Currys and AO tend to stick to the more expensive side of things. The Game Collection and ShopTo will often end up cheapest for games, but can add those savings back with the shipping costs.
Personal Pick: Asus ROG Ally Z1E
I’ve had my hand wrapped around the Asus ROG Ally sine launch, and while we didn’t always see eye to eye the system has been pretty much overhauled with its newer updates. It’s now my favorite gaming handheld - I use it for pretty much all my controller-friendly PC game time whenever I’m not reviewing a laptop. I thought we might see some movement on this model in this week’s Black Friday deals, and Best Buy has pulled through. The Z1E version is now down to $499.99 - a $150 discount on the original $649.99. That’s already the lowest price I’ve seen, but Plus members can take it a step further with an additional $50 saving, dropping the full-fat handheld down to just $449.99.
Asus ROG Ally Z1E |$649.99$499.99 at Best Buy
I’ve played through heavier games like Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey and Fallout 4 without a hitch on the Z1E model, but if you only play lighter indies it’s worth noting that the cheaper Z1 version is available for even less right now. The only difference is that processor.

Top Tip: Check for bundles
PSA: Walmart just launched a better PS5 bundle
Most retailers have the PS5 Slim down to $424 right now, but I’ve just taken my own advice and scouted out some more bundles at Walmart. I’ve found some gold in the process. You can currently grab the disc version of the PS5 Slim with an extra DualSense controller for just $474.98 at Walmart right now. Taking today’s Black Friday sale price into account, that means you’re only paying $50.98 for the controller itself - slightly less than the $54.99 rate I’m seeing on the shelves right now. When you consider you’re spending less than the MSRP of the consoleandstill picking up a free controller, this is a particularly impressive offer.
PS5 Slim | DualSense Controller |$474.98 at Walmart
Top Tip: Don’t forget shipping
Free shipping is another way retailers try to stand out from each other, and it’s pretty easy to lower those delivery costs when you’re spending over a certain threshold. If you’re spending less than $35, it’s worth checking to see what Amazon has available, but otherwise you should be fine at both Best Buy and Walmart.

Personal Pick: SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless
This is by no means a cheap device. That $349.99 MSRP is ominous to say the least, but this year has been kind to the Pro and I’ve seen the return of that $279.99 sales price once or twice over the past 12 months. Amazon has beaten that rate today, with a new $269.99 price tag on the black model. That’s the cheapest it’s been all year and a particularly rare saving.
SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless |$349.99$269.99 at Amazon
The Razer Viper V2 Pro just hit a record-low price
At $79.99, the Viper V2 Pro just hit a new record-low price at Amazon. I’ve seen a $99.99 rate here for months, a solid $50 discount worth celebrating when it’s not Black Friday. The brand has stepped up its game for these holiday sales, though, and this flagship has never been cheaper.

Retailer Guide: Walmart
Walmart often carries some of the best Black Friday deals for gamers on the market, and makes the majority of its discounts easily found via its deals sheets. These come in the form of previews, available to view and bookmark weeks in advance before becoming the site’s main portal for helping you find the discounts you’re looking for. There’s a massive range of products on these shelves, but it’s important to know that not all of them are sold and shipped by the retailer itself.
Walmart operates on a marketplace model, with various sellers all hosting products on its shelves. While you can find some fantastic discounts, particularly across Nintendo Switch games and accessories and official PlayStation peripherals, it’s always worth investigating the seller here. Scams aren’t unheard of, and if a price looks too good to be true and the seller has a low number of reviews it’s best to be avoided. I generally stick to Walmart-sold deals and those presented by verified sellers with long histories on the site and high review scores.
Walmart Plus members can claim early access to a range of Black Friday deals, so if you’re a subscriber it’s well worth checking in ahead of the big day. The site often has some of the biggest offers on the web this time of year, and sometimes on rarely discounted tech. However, with Plus members getting in there first these savings can run off the shelves particularly quickly.
The Xbox Series X is looking particularly strong at Walmart right now
The new 1TB all-digital Xbox Series X has just dipped down to its lowest ever price at Walmart, with $50 off the $449.99 MSRP taking us down to $398. That’s an excellent discount for anyone who wants to take their Game Pass play to the big-screen, with the full power of the current generation console and no disc drive to pay for. Of course, if you do still have physical games in-hand I’d recommend waiting for a similar offer on the fully fledged X model.
Xbox Series X 1TB Digital Edition |$449.99$398 at Walmart
Retailer Guide: Best Buy
Best Buy specializes in tech and appliances, and often carries a good supply of Black Friday deals across consoles and PC. While typically slightly more expensive than Amazon and Walmart year-round, when Best Buy does discount a product it sometimes undercuts both competitors - especially when it comes to gaming laptops and PCs.
In fact, I use Best Buy to find the highest value gaming laptop deals regularly - the store seems to have a much more focused selection of newer models, with no strange configurations and dodgy price tags. Amazon and Walmart are a little wild in this arena, so it’s always best to stick with Best Buy’s more curated shelves unless you’ve been following the price of a machine for a while.
Like Amazon Prime, Best Buy’s Plus members can also access exclusive discounts or additional savings on a range of products - as well as extra tech support.

Retailer Guide: Amazon
Amazon is one of the biggest retailers on the web, if not the biggest in the US and UK. That means it, naturally, gets the most Black Friday deals of the lot. In the realms of gaming, things are a little more complicated. There are areas where Amazon simply doesn’t live up to other stores, offering weaker discounts on a lower quality selection of products with far less curation. Gaming laptops, gaming PCs, and components are these areas - the brand’s reliance on third party sellers often results in search pages filled with random Amazon-only brands that most reviewers haven’t had their hands on. Not only that, but Amazon often struggles to keep up with newer releases, while much older machines rise to the top offering less value overall.
So far this year, Amazon has been on point for a few categories though. PS5 games, headsets, mice, keyboards, controllers, and SSDs have all seen regular discounts on these digital shelves, with those savings often outbidding sites like Best Buy and Walmart. If it’s a peripheral from a well-known brand priced between $30 and $300, chances are Amazon’s going to be your first port of call.
There’s good news if you’re a Prime member as well. While less widespread than the retailer’s dedicated Prime Day sale, I have noticed more exclusive subscriber discounts making their way to the shelves in the early stages of this year’s Black Friday deals. While most savings are open to all, Prime subscribers can shave a few bucks off some gadgets and score free speedy shipping as well.
Amazon works at its best when you already know what you want, but has in recent years become a bit of a dumpsite for random third party brands. A simple search for ‘gaming headset’ will probably send you straight through to a dozen budget cups before actually getting to the good stuff. Check for verified reviews and seller ratings before picking up anything you don’t recognize.
Watchlist: My favorite gaming keyboard is inching closer to a record-low price
TheAsus ROG Azothhas spent its life at the top of my list of thebest gaming keyboardscurrently on the market - and it certainly knows its worth. That lofty $249.99 MSRP has taken a while to drop, but the last few months have been much kinder to the hopeful bargain hunters. Starting with a $199.99 sales price over the summer, I’ve seen those numbers hopping around between $190 and $210 over the last few weeks. That’s all well and good, but I’m interested in record-lows, and these hot-swappable switches have been as low as $169.99 in the past. That was a particularly fast flash sale back in October, but I’m hoping the 75% keyboard is heading in the same direction this Black Friday.
This morning’s price drop has renewed that optimism. While previous stuck at $199.99, the brown switch version is currently available for just$174.99 at Amazon- we’re just $5 away now, and those numbers could tick down further at any moment.
Asus ROG Azoth |$249.99$174.99 at Amazon
I would love to fly a plane. An imaginary one made of cardboard and operated by dice, to be precise.
It’s not the only title I’m hoping will be included in this year’sBlack Friday board game deals. Sci-fi strategy game Arcs has become one of the most anticipated launches of the past few months, but it’s proving tricky to find. One of the few places I’ve been able to track it down is Miniature Market, for example, and even though it’s$47.99right now rather than $60, stock has been in and out. With any luck it’ll stabilize, and/or fall even further if we’re fortunate.
The final game I’m watching out for this Black Friday is the Lord of the Rings spin on 7 Wonders. I’m a big fan of both Middle-earth and the classic civilization game as is, so I’ve got my fingers crossed that it falls below the current price of$34.99 at Amazon.
Retailer Guide: Newegg
Newegg is a PC specialist site, so anyone building or upgrading their rig this Black Friday should already been scouring these shelves. It’s one of the best places to find discounted components, from CPUs to graphics cards, SSDs to RAM, but also offers a fantastic range of prebuilt PCs and gaming laptops.
There’s a much wider spread of brands, models, and configurations available here compared to Best Buy, but a little less curation. That means you’ll find older models side by side with much newer releases, potentially offering far less value overall. If you know the components you’re looking for, there are handy navigation tools to make sure you’re looking at the right deals, but it can be easy to get caught out with a strange spec if you’re not careful.
Xbox Wireless Controllers have dropped back down to record-low prices
Whether you’re adding to your Xbox collection or you’re after a super reliable PC gamepad, the official Xbox Wireless Controller is tough to beat. It’s built to work with all things Microsoft, offers an excellent set of sticks to work with, and is compatible with a massive range of devices. That’s why I look forward to this Black Friday deal every year, when these wireless gamepads dip back down to just $39.99.
Xbox Wireless Controller |$59.99$39.99 at Best Buy
Retailer Guide: GameStop
GameStop isn’t the best place to look for Black Friday deals, there I said it. However, if you’re a member you can score yourself some tidy discounts on games and accessories, and it’s a solid spot for merch and board games as well.
While heavily weighted towards its Pro members and second-hand items, its discounts on plushies, figures, Funko Pops, and cheaper PowerA and PDP peripherals make it a worthwhile stop on your Black Friday travels. The store has its own healthy supply of exclusives to keep it competitive and is even offering free Pro memberships with some of its discounts. That’s certainly compelling if you’re looking to save some cash stocking up your collection by grabbing pre-owned games. Cheaper, better for the planet, and covered by a Protect & Save guarantee? That’s some excellent value.
I tested theBenQ X300Gthis year, and it completely changed how I think about gaming projectors. Models I’ve used previously have always been stuck on their shelves, required some considerable setup, and generally get left to go dusty whenever I don’t actively think to use them. The X300G changed all that. The compact portable projector fit in pretty much every space I tried it in, with a short throw and fairly small footprint. Not only that, but it produced some fantastic 4K imagery with both my PS5 and Nintendo Switch - and kept up with the Asus ROG Ally to boot. With its handheld-specific features, low latency console performance, and handy streaming stick, this is my personal go-to.
The X300G started life at a lofty $1,799 back in March - but it’s sailed down that price scale over the last few months. I started getting really excited when it hit $1,299 in October. Now, Amazon’s Black Friday deals have it at a record-low $1,199.99 position - a fantastic rate for any UHD projector, let alone one with these high-end features.
BenQ X300G |$1,299$1,199 at Amazon
Will the PS5 Pro be on sale this Black Friday?
If you had asked me that three weeks ago I would have said absolutely not. Then EE and Argos discounted thePS5 Proin the UK by £40. While I stand corrected from a very British perspective, I’m still holding firm in the idea that we likely won’t see any direct savings on the Pro in the US. The UK is more liberal with its discounts across consoles - I’ve seen that with the Nintendo Switch and PS5 over the last few years. More retailers are willing to absorb some of the price themselves where manufacturing brands aren’t directly offering a discount.
However, there’s still a beacon of hope if you’re looking to save on the PS5 Pro experience. If there’s any extra value to be found in that lofty $699 launch price, it’s in bundles. Retailers could well throw in an extra free (or discounted) game / controller to make a bid for headlines over the next couple of days. If you’re in the US, this is your best bet for saving on the PS5 Pro. If you’re in the UK… well… I have no idea what’s going to happen next.
Morning everyone! We’re back again with another day of deals. Now that we’re just a few hours away from Black Friday itself, things are really starting to heat up. What can we expect this time? Let’s dive in.
Never tell me the odds, because Star Wars Outlaws just hit a record low price
Well, hello, what have we here? The open-world game set in a galaxy far, far away has dipped to its lowest ever price as part of this year’s Black Friday deals. More specifically, you can get it for$39.99 at Amazon on PS5or$39.99 at Amazon on Xbox. For context, its normal price is $69.99.
Sure, it may not have been the runaway success publisher Ubisoft had expected. But as we mentioned in our Star Wars Outlaws review, it’s an “exceedingly fun Star Wars game” that “establishes an incredible sense of place through its open worlds, accurately capturing the look and feel of the original trilogy of movies.” In other words, fans will find a lot to love here.Star Wars Outlaws (PS5) |$69.99$39.99 at AmazonStar Wars Outlaws (Xbox Series X) |$69.99$39.99 at Amazon
A wild Pokemon card discount appeared!
Have you found yourself sucked into a Pokemon TCG Pocket-shaped hole recently? Don’t worry, us too. If it’s tempted you to try the classic paper version, good news! You can currently get a really sweet, gift-worthy intro to the game via the Paldea Adventure Chest - now at a record low price. It’s currently sitting at$22.49 at Amazonrather than the full $49.55, and alongside boosters to kick off your collection it has a handful of adorable foil cards alongside a folio to store them. There’s even a little Pikachu figure in there, as a treat.Pokemon TCG Paldea Adventure Chest |$49.55$22.49 at Amazon
Chomp on this Lego Piranha Plant discount
I’m a big Super Mario fan, so seeing the Mushroom Kingdom transformed into bricks is pretty neat. One of the best sets I’ve seen is the Piranha Plant, as it perfectly recreates the iconic baddie as a posable display piece. I’m literally writing about this offer while sitting on the chair in question, so I can say with absolute certainty that theRazer Iskur V2is a comfy devil with rather excellent lumbar support. Join a virtual world, for less
I’m a big fan of VR. I’m fascinated by the world of Horizon. Slap the two together, and what do you get? A big problem for my wallet, that’s what. The PlayStation VR 2 combo with Horizon Call of the Mountain has taken a massive price cut for this year’s Black Friday deals, so take this as your PSA.PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle|$599.99$349 at Amazon
Blasting off with Astro Bot
This adorable game took many of us by surprise when it launched to rave reviews (like ours, for that matter). It’s well-deserved; as we said in our ownAstro Botcoverage, it “soars above and beyond to serve up a near-perfect platformer.” As luck would have it, you can grab the PS5 game for much less as part of this year’s Black Friday deals - it’s currently$49.97 at Amazonrather than the usual $60.

My discount sense is tingling
Here’s a game that has sat stubbornly at or near full price for a long, long time. With that in mind, seeing Spider-Man 2 web-swing to a much lower price (it’s currently$39.99 at Best Buyinstead of the normal $70) isn’t an opportunity to miss. On the fence about whether to dive in? Like we said in ourMarvel’s Spider-Man 2 review, it’s “quite simply the best superhero game yet.“Marvel Spider-Man 2 |$69.99$39.99 at Best Buy
You won’t cry a river at this Tears of the Kingdom discount
The sequel to immensely popular (and excellent) Switch game Breath of the Wild is down to its lowest ever price, allowing you to make your way through the Hyrule of Tears of the Kingdom for less than ever. If you’ve not tried this yet, I can’t recommend it enough - it’s a great example of why Nintendo is so beloved, and as ourThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom reviewpoints out, it’s a game “as broad as it is deep, and something that comfortably justifies the six-year wait.“The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom |$69.99$39.99 at Best Buy

Should you wait for the Nintendo Switch 2?
There are two things you’ll want to consider when determining if you should dive into this week’s offers or wait for the new model; how much you want to pay and which games you want to pay.
If cost isn’t too much of a concern but you’re still on the fence, I’d recommend sticking to the original if you’re yet to dive in at all. The Nintendo Switch 2 will be backwards compatible, but we don’t know much about the launch lineup itself. While Switch 2 games won’t be playable on the old device, there’s a massive catalog of games to explore already - and once you’ve been through all of them the Switch 2 may well have a substantial library to explore as well.
Retailer Guide: Woot
Woot has been a major player in this year’s Black Friday deals so far, being the first retailer to offer record-low prices on the latest and greatest Nintendo Switch and PS5 games of the sale. While we’re seeing more Switch games seeing $20 discounts these days, Woot was running these offers as early as the start of November, with rare savings on newer releases like Mario & Luigi: Brothership and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Over in the PS5 world, it was the first store to drop the price of Silent Hill 2 to $59.99 and offered up Skull & Bones for just $12.99 at the start of the month.
It’s a discount-focused site, with a rotating roster of savings that jump on and off the shelves. That means you won’t find the biggest selection of savings available here, but those prices do often drop the lowest. It’s a real lottery as to whether to game or gadget you’re on the lookout for is featured, but it’s excellent for browsing and regularly beats other retailers on the web.
Woot is an Amazon-owned retailer, which means you’re shopping with the security of the full site and Prime members still get free shipping as well.
Should you buy an Xbox Series S this Black Friday?
The Xbox Series S sits at the bottom of Xbox’s food chain, a digital-only Game Pass machine with a lower price tag and weaker specs overall. It does, however, serve as an excellent entry point into console gaming for those who don’t want to invest too much into a smaller hobby or are buying for smaller kids.
If not, and you just want some cheap TV console gaming under your belt, the Series S remains a fair shout. Of course, if you want your games running at their highest quality possible or you have physical games to run then the Xbox Series X is going to offer better value for money overall.
PSA: The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is even cheaper - but running out fast
The PC version of theSteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wirelessis down to a brand new record-low price at Amazon, but stock is starting to falter on the more popular Xbox version. That means these shelves are starting to thin out - if you’re looking to beat the year’s best price so far by $20 now’s the time to strike. This is my favorite gaming headset on the market, pairing the best audio I’ve heard with excellent comfort, a handy hot-swappable battery, and on-the-fly EQ settings. That’s a hell of a feature list for just $259.99 - this isn’t a deal to be missed.

Who’s already live?
Retailers have been running early Black Friday deals for weeks now. Best Buy and Amazon started proceedings with a first wave of discounts towards the start of the month, but have both officially launched their Black Friday deals in the last week. Walmart was a little later to the party but is also up and running with a range of gaming discounts on the site.
Of course, more Black Friday deals will likely emerge when that clock strikes zero - but the majority of these stores' offers are already on the site.
Can an iPad do that?
After something a little different? The Asus ROG Flow Z13 looks like a high-end gaming laptop at first glance - this is the full Windows experience with an RTX 40-Series GPU and Intel i9 processor, after all. However, this is actually the best gaming tablet on the market - a super powerful slab of high-end construction, running all your favorite PC games in at glorious 240Hz. Can an iPad do that?
It’s currently $150 off at Best Buy, leaving us with a fantastic $1,599.99 sale price.
PSA: Best Buy’s ‘Drops’ deals are looking spicy for gamers
Best Buy is running a selection of exclusive Black Friday deals on its mobile app this year, labelled ‘Drops’. These discounts look like they’re trying to emulate Amazon’s Lightning deals, but with a more curated selection of items. I’ve just spotted the Razer Viper V2 Pro is lined up for some savings tomorrow, with discounts on Disney gift cards, Chromebooks, and Logitech kit to follow.
PSA: Best Buy is price matching - but not how you might think
It’s not uncommon for retailers to offer price matches on their deals outside of Black Friday, and Best Buy has its Price Match Guarantee system to ensure it stays competitive day to day. Last year, the fine print dictated that the retailer wasn’t matching competitors prices, and that’s still the case today. You can’t ask Best Buy to match Amazon’s Black Friday price, for example.
The site states that “items denoted as Black Friday pricing, special daily or hourly sales and items for sale the Thursday before Thanksgiving through the Monday after Thanksgiving” are exempt.
However, there is something different this year.
Best Buy’s Holiday Price Match Guarantee now states that ‘most products purchased at Best Buy between November 1 and December 31 can be price matched through January 14.” It essentially means that if you spot a lower price on something you’ve already bought after the fact, you can claim the difference back.
All eyes on the Razer Viper V3 Pro
I’ve already called out the excellent $70 discount on the Razer Viper V2 Pro at Amazon, but I’m still watching the newer model. This is the best gaming mouse I’ve tested so far, and that $159.99 has dropped down to $135 in the past. It hasn’t moved a muscle since Black Friday deals started rolling in, though, sticking to this $155 position for the last few weeks. I have high hopes for this pointer once tomorrow’s sales officially start, so if you’re an ultra-competitive player I’d keep this page refreshed.

I’m seeing more exclusive Black Friday deals for Prime members this year
Here’s what to watch out for with renewed tech
Don’t sleep on renewed devices this Black Friday - plenty of retailers now offer their own testing and refurbishment services all while dropping prices lower than brand new models and helping the planet along the way. However, there are always risks when buying renewed models - no matter how trustworthy your source is.
Check the price
Some Black Friday deals move so fast, others can’t quite catch up - and I see this most often with renewed tech. It’s always worth double checking the price of any renewed item against current discounts on brand new tech. The differences between the two are sometimes smaller than you might think - and I’ve even seen some gadgets going for more in their refurbished state. Last year, refurbished Nintendo Switch OLEDs were actually more expensive than their new counterparts during some particularly tasty flash sales and I’ve already seen similar movements from iPads as well.
Check your seller
If you’re buying from Best Buy’s Geek Squad service, you’re all set - but stores like Amazon and Walmart also allow third party marketplace sellers on their sites. These listings will appear side by side with official retailer renewed devices, so it’s important to double check that you’re buying from a reputable source. Amazon’s trustworthy renewed devices will sport an ‘Amazon Renewed’ flag on the product page, but Walmart is a little harder to spot. Be sure to check that your seller of choice has a high review rating, spread out over a decent amount of time, and that reviews relate specifically to the product you are buying.
PSA: This controller was nearly half its current price a few weeks ago
The Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma marched into this Black Friday season with a fantastic $90 discount at the end of October, but that $59 sale price hasn’t been spotted since. Today, it stands lonely and cold at $90.95 - that looks like a good price if you consider the $149.99 MSRP. Us being so far away from that record-low means this isn’t a deal I would grab today. Instead, I’d keep a close eye on those mecha-tactile buttons until tomorrow’s offers start pouring in. I’d be surprised if we didn’t see a return to this record-low then, and $90.95 is a considerable step away from the glory days.

The Last of Us Part 1 has never been cheaper
Best Buy has just dropped a record-low price on my all-time favorite PS5 game. The Last of Us Part 1 is now down to $29.99 for a full $40 off the original $69.99 MSRP. That’s an impressive offer for anyone yet to jump into the post-apocalyptic world of Ellie and Joel (or even if you have and just want to do it all over again with a fancier picture).
The Last of Us Part 1 |$69.99$29.99 at Best Buy
Should you buy a PS5 Pro?
ThePS5 Prohit the shelves at the start of the month, and has actually seen some discounts over the course of Black Friday so far. Sure, these savings were reserved for UK shoppers with nothing appearing in the US so far - but there’s always hope.
I tested the PS5 Pro for our full review, though, and I have to say - not everyone should be on the lookout for this premium device. At $699.99 / £699.99 you’re going to need to make sure you’ll actually appreciate the upgrade - whether you already have an original PS5 or not.
The Pro does boost features like ray tracing noticeably in certain games (like Spider-Man 2), and can run games at higher quality visuals with faster framerates. But in my experience, the only players who are going to really notice this are going to be using a massive TV at close quarters or a gaming monitor.
I have my PS5 set up in a living room setup, sat approximately 10ft away from a 55-inch screen. From the couch, I can’t see much of a visual upgrade. While action does feel a little slicker with a few extra frames, it’s not worth the $200 over a standard PS5.
Up close and personal, or on a bigger screen, however - those differences are far more pronounced.
Should you buy before Black Friday?
We’re just hours away from this year’s official Black Friday, but early shoppers are already stripping the shelves of deals. Considering how many offers I’ve seen running out in advance of tomorrow’s start, I wouldn’t recommend waiting much longer if you do spot a price you like. Yes, more deals are heading our way tomorrow - but I generally only see significant savings on products not yet featured in early sales on the day itself. Anything that’s currently discounted to its lowest price yet is going to be fair game.
Obviously, the risk is higher for more expensive products. A retailer may well cut an extra 5% on a cheap controller - but that could only amount to an extra couple of dollars in your pocket. If you’re looking at a high-end gaming monitor, TV, or PC that extra percentage discount could mean hundreds of dollars.
If you’re buying cheap, I’d say you’re clear to dive in ahead of time - provided the deal you’re looking at offers a record-low price. If you’re going large this Black Friday and the product you’re considering has been cheaper in the past, it’s worth waiting to see what midnight brings - but keep a close eye on stock levels in the meantime. Early indicators that a deal is leaving the shelves include prices jumping slightly up, more popular colorways being taken out of the deal (or run off the shelves completely), and extended delivery times.
Heading in-store this Black Friday?
Black Friday may feel like an online-only event these days, but there are plenty of retailers opening their doors to good old brick and mortar stores tomorrow.
Walmart will welcome shoppers from 6am onwards, alongside Target. Sam’s Club and Costco are giving us a lie-in, with 10am opening times, meanwhile Apple is going straight down the middle with its standard 8am start.
Best Buy’s Black Friday opening hours vary by store location (you cancheck yours here) and may change compared to normal operation. Most stores open at between 8am and 10am.
Just be warned, though. While certainly not as bad as previous years, in-store Black Friday shopping can get pretty hectic and most retailers offer the same discounts online anyway.
Watchlist: Astro A50 X
I’m speaking directly to players with both a PS5 and Xbox Series X in the same setup now - keep a close eye on theAstro A50 Xtomorrow. That $379.99 MSRP hasn’t shifted an inch since Black Friday deals started revving up at the start of the month, but it has given way to a $299.99 sales price as recently as October. That’s a recipe for a last-minute discount if ever I saw one - and it’ll be welcomed considering the lofty starting position.
This is among the best headsets I’ve tested - but it’s certainly not for everyone. With no Bluetooth in the headset itself (only in the base station), and a fairly convoluted HDMI setup, this isn’t one for more casual players. I’m lucky, I have a review unit I can keep next to my PC - in reality I wouldn’t be using this headset in my split setup. Don’t get me wrong, the audio quality, KVM switching, and wireless charging make it a fantastic buy if you have everything hooked up to one monitor. I, however, have a PC upstairs, a PS5 downstairs, and a Nintendo Switch down the side of the couch. Unless you’re working from one arrangement, this isn’t going to be worth it.
Astro A50 X |$379.99 at Amazon (Record: $299.99)
Here’s how I play Nintendo Switch on my iPad (and a Black Friday deal to match)
I love handheld mode, I love docked mode - but sometimes I need something just in between. That’s where the Genki ShadowCast 2 comes in - it’s a tiny, super cheap, capture card for the Nintendo Switch but its dedicated app allows you to run all your games from an iPad screen. You could technically play on anything with a USB-C connection, but it just feels cooler on an iPad.
Latencies have been vastly improved in the second generation card and I play pretty much all my games this way with no problems. Some more reflex-heavy titles will start to show those creaks (this is a $40 gadget after all), but unless you’re a super competitive player you’re unlikely to notice in most games.
Simply connect the ShadowCast to your dock via the HDMI port, hook up the USB-C cable, and plug it into your iPad. The Genki app allows you to cast all your games directly onto the screen.

Should you buy an RTX 30-Series gaming laptop this Black Friday?
I’ve noticed a few retailers still offering RTX 30-Series gaming laptops in their Black Friday deals, the previous generation of graphics card which dips on a few key features of the newer RTX 40-Series. I would largely recommend ignoring these discounts. While you could scoop up an impressive sounding RTX 3080 model for what seems like a solid price, the value on offer in these machines isn’t just tied up in your GPU.
Many are running older Intel 12th Generation processors and some cheaper models try and get away with 8GB RAM. While they might cost less than their newer counterparts, the cash that you are spending will serve you much better when put towards a newer model. It’s not just DLSS 3 and DDR5 RAM you need to consider.
The RTX 40-Series of mobile GPUs actually represents a considerable jump from older models in my testing. That means an RTX 3080 is more comparable to something like the RTX 4070, a mid-range GPU that’s seeing much lower prices and far more choice. Not only that, but these laptops will last you much longer and will be able to handle the next generation of games much better as well.
Personal Pick: Corsair Darkstar Wireless
A normal MMO mouse wants to supply you with as many buttons as it can squeeze around your thumb and send you on your way. Not theCorsair Darkstar Wireless. This is my favorite MMO mouse on the market, and it does away with the traditional 12-button array all together. Instead, Corsair opted for a more circular design, with six side buttons around a super grippy central panel. That makes for plenty of extra actions while still maintaining precision and control - something very few traditional MMO mice can boast.
The Darkstar Wireless is also pretty difficult to find on sale - that $149.99 MSRP has only dipped a few times this year. That makes Amazon’s current record-low all the more impressive, with a $30 discount taking us down to $119.99.

Nintendo Switch OLED vs Nintendo Switch: which should you buy?
If you’re in the market for a Ninty-flavored dockable handheld this Black Friday, you’ve got two options to consider.
Both the Nintendo Switch OLED and Nintendo Switch standard edition are available as part of official bundles, with a free copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and 12 months of Nintendo Switch Online included. There’s a $50 difference between the two prices, though - so which should you choose?
Put simply, the Nintendo Switch OLED is best for those who mostly play in handheld mode. It’s exactly the same as the standard edition inside, but the screen upgrade works incredibly hard to make games look more vibrant and on a slightly bigger screen.
If you know your console is going to spend most of its life hooked up to a TV, though, I’d recommend the standard edition. There’s no point in spending more on a screen you won’t use too much and you’re still getting the full Switch experience.
Alienware Aurora R16 PC deals are looking pretty strong this Black Friday
TheAlienware Aurora R16has strangely turned into one of the more affordable gaming PCs on the shelves this Black Friday, with prices starting at just $1,199.99 on Dell’s own site. Whether you’re after a budget RTX 4060 build or a monstrous RTX 4090 powerhouse, there are plenty of savings up for grabs. Phil loved this prebuilt when they reviewed it just last month, its benchmarks impressed in testing and its efficient design kept things cool and quiet as well. While it’s less upgradeable than other machines on the market this is a solid buy while the price is low.

Meta Quest 3S vs Meta Quest 3
The Meta Quest 3S is a newer, cheaper, version of the classicMeta Quest 3but it’s only just hit the market. That means Black Friday deals are few and far between right now - though well worth hunting down if you’re after a 128GB model. The 3S has replaced the lower capacity Meta Quest 3 on the shelves, so if you’re torn between the two devices storage is an excellent place to start. If you know you’ll need more than 128GB, you’re going straight to the OG.
The biggest difference between the two headsets? The lenses. Both the Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S use the same passthrough cameras, processor, RAM, and motion tracking but the 3S reverts back to cheaper fresnel lenses previously seen on theMeta Quest 2. It means a slightly fuzzier image, most noticeably around your peripheral vision. Pair that with a lower resolution and a smaller field of view and those who are picky about their screens will need to upgrade to the 3.
However, if this is your first step into the world of VR, I would absolutely recommend grabbing the Quest 3S. With the previous 128GB model off the shelves it’s now considerably cheaper and offers plenty of upgrades over the original Quest 2.
Grab the Nintendo Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. edition for just $37.99
Another excellent Black Friday deal from Woot here, the Super Mario Bros. Game & Watch is now down to just $37.99 (was $49.99). That’s a 24% discount on the full price and considering my fellow retro nerd Phil has been holding out for a saving like this for months it’s well worth a look. The remake of that classic system features the full Super Mario Bros. experience including Lost Levels. That’s not even considering the digital clock setting.

Watchlist: Asus ROG Falchion RX Low Profile
Ah the silky smoothAsus ROG Falchion RX Low Profile, a compact, ultra-portable gaming keyboard with the typing feel of fresh, powdery snow. I love this deck, it’s my favorite low-profile model on the market. Unfortunately, we’re still $10 away from its lowest ever price at Amazon. I was really hoping for a return to $129.99 before Black Friday officially begun, but alas those numbers are remaining stubborn at $139.99 today. I’d still keep an eye on this model if you’re after a 65% keyboard, though, it’s dropped lower in the past and that means there’s plenty of wiggle room over the next few hours.

Speaking of gaming keyboards…
TheRazer BlackWidow V4 Prois the best full-sized deck I’ve tested so far, and it’s just returned to a record-low price. We’re only looking at a $30 discount on a lofty $229.99 MSRP here, but if you’ve missed out on the few times I’ve seen this offer available in the past now’s the time to strike. There’s a Razer tax built in here, obviously, but you’re still getting a super luxurious keyboard with a massive number of macro opportunities. This definitely isn’t one for smaller setups, though, it’s the largest deck I’ve ever tested.

Should you buy an OLED TV on Black Friday?
TVs are big business on Black Friday, and OLEDs are the order of the day this year. This super crisp panel technology has grown cheaper over the last few years, and with discounts lining the shelves it’s easier than ever to upgrade - but is it worth it?
First up, if you’ve got the cash to invest in a new display, OLED is the best way to do that. These TVs have the color contrast, accuracy, and speed to top the market, and burn-in is barely an issue anymore. I would particularly recommend upgrading if you’re hooking a current-gen console up to that screen - the jump from a regular 4K TV to an OLED panel is much more noticeable than the difference between a PS5 and PS5 Pro.
There’s just one caveat to all this. OLED displays typically aren’t as bright as QLEDs. These types of panels are still LED, which means you won’t find the same contrast levels and pop of color - but if you’re looking to maximize HDR content above all else, it’s worth checking out the alternatives.
What’s going on this morning?
Good morning and welcome to Black Friday! I’m seeing a lot of the same offers from the last few days on the shelves this morning, but Walmart, Amazon, and Best Buy have dropped a handful of extra savings since the clock struck midnight. I’ll be swinging through all the biggest retailers to find the latest new offers and will bring all that treasure right here. But let me just tell you about some gold I’ve already spotted.
The Legend of Zelda: Tear of the Kingdom is now just $30 at Walmart - dropping the game a further $10 compared to the $39.99 position Best Buy has been holding all week. That’s a fantastic new record-low price on a high profile release, but I don’t think it will last long.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom |$69.99$30 at Walmart
Meanwhile, Best Buy has dropped a bunch of new gift card offers. Some of these are re-runs of a couple of bundles that appeared yesterday, but quickly left the shelves. Well, lookee here - you can currently pick up a DualSense PS5 controller for a heavily reduced price as part of this year’s Black Friday deals. Become a Pro on Nintendo Switch
While we’re on the subject of controllers, it seems like a good opportunity to flag that the Nintendo Switch Pro is currently on offer. How to find the best Black Friday deals
We’re deep in the land of deals right now, so it’s worth going over some fundamentals for finding the biggest offers on the shelves. Of course, it’s always worth forming a strong idea of the products you’re hunting for before you embark on your mission. If you’re after a gaming laptop, work out the kinds of specs you’ll need, those wanting a gaming headset should know whether they need a wireless connection or not. The more you can drill down into the features and specs you need, the more valuable the best deals become.
It’s important to stay flexible here, though. There will always be non-negotiables - if you want a hot-swappable keyboard you’re not going to settle for a standard model. But should a wired model sit considerably cheaper than a wireless one, or one with extra gasket mounting be only slightly more expensive, you’ll find better deals by staying open to such alternatives.
It’s also important to double check you’re actually getting a good deal. Take a look at the price history of the product you’re looking at (Honey and CamelCamelCamel both offer detailed histories of prices across retailers) to make sure you’re either getting a record-low, or the year’s best price to date.
Wow, we’re really not getting anything off the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14
I’ve been holding out for a return to a record-low price on theAsus ROG Zephyrus G14at Best Buy this Black Friday, but that $1,599.99 MSRP on the RTX 4060 configuration just isn’t budging. First I thought BB was waiting until Thanksgiving week, then I assumed it was an on-the-day kind of deal. Now we’re hours into Black Friday morning, and still - nothing. This isn’t exactly a rare discount either. This model has been $1,249.99 several times over the course of the year. Keep an eye out if you’re holding out hope, I certainly will be.

This record-breaking Tears of the Kingdom deal isn’t even appearing in Walmart’s search page
I initially thought that $30 digital copy of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom had run out of stock at Walmart when I just checked, but it’s actually just missing from the search page. You’ll need to know where to find it, but that record-breaking discount is still alive and well - I’ve been watching this URL for weeks now, and have kept it safe incase of emergencies like this.
The $69.99 MSRP of the latest open world Zelda adventure has never moved beyond $39.99 before - and that price only started appearing at the end of last week. This is a stunner of a deal, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it ran out of stock by the end of the day.

Should you buy a gaming chair on Black Friday?
If you already have a desk-based gaming setup but don’t have a chair to go with it, chances are you’re using a regular office chair to go with it. There are benefits to both sides (I’ve already explored the fullgaming chair vs office chairdebate elsewhere on the site), but if you’re after that stream aesthetic, classic racing back style and additional recline options it’s worth exploring this year’sBlack Friday gaming chair deals.
From a pure looks perspective, it’s worth noting that gaming chairslooklike gaming chairs. The tall backs, chunkier head rests, winged back stature, and deeper seats are immediately recognizable - so if you don’t want a gamerfied aesthetic in a shared or office space it’s worth sticking to a traditional spin chair. If aesthetics aren’t too much of a concern, though, there are more ergonomic factors to consider.
You will have to spend more on an office chair to get particularly comfortable and easily adjustable ergonomic support. Even the cheapest gaming chairs come with these features baked in; I’m talking three-dimensionally adjustable armrests, a wider recline, larger seat base, and inbuilt lumbar support. Office chairs used to win out with more mesh fabric options, but even gaming chairs are picking up this cooler material these days.
There will always be individual size, shape, and ergonomic needs that will suit an office or gaming chair best. However, if you’re buying for a dedicated setup a dedicated chair does much more than look the part.
Walmart just dropped a bunch of new Switch game deals
I was impressed when Woot started dropping first party Switch games to between $35 and $45 earlier last week, but Walmart’s swooped in with its own discounts this morning. These offers put a massive number of games down to just $30 - almost unheard of pricing considering Ninty’s titles usually launch at $60 and stay there. I’ve sprinted through the full sale to highlight some of my top picks just below:
Kirby and the Forgotten Land |$59.99$30 at Walmart
Animal Crossing: New Horizons |$59.99$30 at Walmart
Nintendo Switch Sports |$49.99$30 at Walmart
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom |$69.99$30 at Walmart
Sonic x Shadow Generations |$49.99$30 at Walmart
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury |$59.99$30 at Walmart
Should you buy Star Wars Outlaws this Black Friday?
Star Wars Outlaws had its fair share of criticism when it launched a few months ago, between bugs and glitches, its welcome was a fairly lukewarm meh. I’ve been trucking on with the PS5 version, though, and it’s finally in the kind of shape it needs to be for me to recommend it. The game has just had a massive update, fixing stealth mechanics (I really need those second chances), improving enemy behaviour via weakpoints and boosted AI, and giving the entire look a fresh coat of paint.
You can currently pick up Star Wars Outlaws for just $39.99 at Amazon, a record-low price on the PS5 release and $30 off the original $69.99. At that rate with these enhancements? I say go for it.
Star Wars Outlaws |$69.99$39.99 at Amazon
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is back at Woot - and cheaper than ever!
I thought we were done with record-low prices on the latest Zelda adventure, but Woot has outdone itself here. Previous offers had Echoes of Wisdom down to $44.99 at this Amazon-owned retailer, but hope was lost when it was run off the shelves last night. It’s back this morning, and there’s a new record breaking discount in town. You’ll now find it available for $41.99, a full $18 off that $59.99 MSRP. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was swept off the shelves soon, though.

Silent Hill 2justdropped its price again at Amazon
I’ve just spotted Silent Hill 2 going for a brand new record-low price at Amazon, and this new discount can only have been posted in the last half an hour. This is hot off the press, offering the latest spooky remaster for just $30 today. That’s a fantastic additional saving over the $55 rate we’ve been seeing over the course of the last week.

Personal Pick: Razer Barracuda X
Razer Barracuda X |$99.99$69.99 at Best Buy
Spotlight: Razer
Razer’s one of the biggest brands in the business, and it’s showing up strong this Black Friday. The grail for PC players is the Razer Blade laptop, a super luxurious range of gaming laptops with premium CNC milled chassis’, particularly high-quality displays, and the latest and greatest components. There are eight Razer products I’d recommend keeping a particularly close eye on this Black Friday; two mice, one keyboard, a headset, and a laptop.
These are all ranked among the best in their class, and have already proven to be willing participants in this year’s Black Friday deals.
Razer Basilisk V3★★★★★Save $30 -The Razer Basilisk V3 packs a ton of features into its budget price point - that’s why it’s the best value gaming mouse on the shelves today. With 11 programmable buttons, a handy smart scroll wheel, slick RGB underglow, and super comfortable form factor this is a must-see for anyone after a solid, reliable rodent.

Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro★★★★The Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro is the best full-sized gaming keyboard I’ve tested yet, and when I say it’s full-sized I mean it. This is a massive deck offering a huge range of additional macro and control options and a luxurious typing feel to boot. While it’s a little too old to jump on the hot-swappable or magnetic bandwagon, it’s packing pretty much every other feature you can imagine.

Razer Blade 16★★★★With a premium 240Hz OLED display developed with Samsung, the Razer Blade 16 offers the best screen I’ve seen on a gaming laptop. Top Tip: Be wary of third party sellers
Retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Newegg all allow marketplace sellers to trade on their platforms. That can be great for used or open-box items or cheaper accessories, but some bad actors take advantage of this system with scams. It’s always worth double checking who you are actually buying from - best case scenario is that your deals are sold and shipped by the retailer itself. However, if you are eyeing up a discount from a separate store, double check its reviews, make sure it’s an established seller, and ensure the product reviews match the item you are buying.
It might be time for me to upgrade my PS5 controller
I love the DualSense, I really do. But sometimes I look over at pro controllers with all their fancy buttons, extra customization options, and RGB lighting and think, am I missing out? I’ve had my hands on a range of different third party gamepads, but theNacon Revolution 5 Prois standing out this Black Friday. It’s absolutely packed with features - hall effect thumbsticks and every kind of personalization you can think of, this is a much cheaper DualSense Edge killer this Black Friday. It’s down to its lowest price yet at Amazon, with the $159.99 sales price I’ve been seeing over the last few months finally giving way to a $149.99 record-low.

Grab a free $75 gift card with the Meta Quest 3
There aren’t too many Meta Quest discounts up for grabs right now, but Best Buy has sweetened the pot with a workaround. Rather than chopping any cash off the 512GBMeta Quest 3, the retailer is throwing in a free $75 gift card. That’s great if you want the OG Quest 3 with those higher quality lenses and extra storage space. Just note that you won’t be able to use this gift card in today’s Black Friday deals (unless you’re speedy to pickup). The extra credit will be available once your order has been “fulfilled or picked up in-store” according to the deal terms and conditions.

The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro has never been cheaper
This multi-platformTurtle Beach Stealth Prowas my favorite headset for setups with both an Xbox and PS5 hooked up, but theAstro A50 X- in all its KVM glory - knocked it off the top spot this year. Still, I think more players will be looking to the Stealth Pro this Black Friday. Logitech’s $379.99 MSRP and less versatile design put a lot of players off, but Turtle Beach’s flagship is down to a record-low $219.99 at Amazon right now. Previous sale prices have always hovered around the $240 mark, so this is a solid improvement on the year’s best sales to date.

Spotlight: Corsair
Corsair has claimed a few of our top spots among the best gaming tech this year. Its Corsair M75 Wireless gaming mouse overtook the Logitech G Pro as the best ambidextrous pointer on the market, and its Darkstar Wireless mouse retained the top spot for MMO-dedicated devices. Plus, I’m still yet to find a better 60% keyboard than the K70 Pro Mini.
Corsair spans a whole roster of PC gaming peripherals (and even tried to break into the world of gaming laptops a couple of years ago). That means you’ll find mice, keyboards, and headsets lining these shelves, but with the brand’s acquisitions of Elgato and Scuf there are also plenty of controllers and streaming devices up for grabs as well.
Corsair M75 Wireless★★★★★A wide base and heavier form factor means this isn’t a super-fast FPS mouse, but if you’re after a left-handed pointer that can keep up with the rest of the market it’s your best bet right now. This is the top ambidextrous gaming mouse available, and it’s no stranger to discounts.
Today’s best deal:$129.99$79.99 at Amazon

Corsair Darkstar Wireless★★★★This is an MMO mouse, but not like one you’ve seen before. The circular side buttons do take some getting used to, but it’s a far more comfortable and precise experience than a full 12-button array. You’re not getting quite so many functions, but this is still a much more approachable system. It’s the best MMO gaming mouse I’ve tested so far, but it hasn’t seen too many discounts in its life so far.
Today’s best deal:$149.99$119.99 at Amazon

God of War: Ragnarok is now just $29.99
God of War Ragnarok is no stranger to Black Friday deals, but I was getting worried when it was stuck at $39.99 on Best Buy’s shelves this week. The sequel has now dropped back down to its rightful $29.99 position, with a full $40 discount on the (admittedly rarely seen) $69.99 MSRP.

Should you buy an Asus ROG Ally this Black Friday?
I might be a little biased, I’ve been in love with theAsus ROG Allysince I first reviewed the Z1E version last year. But I do think the ROG Ally is the best gaming handheld for anyone after a full PC experience. Yes, theSteam Deck OLEDhas price, display, and battery life on its side - but you’re limited to Valve’s own marketplace if you don’t want to dig around to sideload Windows. TheLenovo Legion Gofeatures those jazzy Switch-esque removable controllers, but its heavier, drops VRR features, and its software is janky at best.
Each handheld has its own benefits and drawbacks, but for the cash I don’t think there’s a more well-rounded package than the Ally. If you only play via Steam, the Steam Deck is going to be the better option. If you prioritize controller-feel, the Legion Go is worth investigating. However, if you’re after a comfortable, versatile, and powerful device, the ROG Ally is well worth considering.
Personal Pick: Octopath Traveler II
I’m currently playing through Octopath Traveler 2 on PC, but PS5 players should be checking out this record-low price as well. While I’m around halfway through the second game, I absolutely loved the original and the newer release improves upon it almost every way. This is a must-play if you like Dragon Quest or other turn-based RPGs, especially considering it’s available for just $24.99 at Amazon.

PSA: Sony’s PS5 faceplates are now $10 off
You can now save $10 on Sony’s range of PS5 face plates for the Slim console, dropping these colorful alternatives down as low as $44.99. The cheapest options are the older Midnight Black, Galactic Purple, Starlight Blue, Cosmic Red, and Nova Pink colorways, but newer Volcanic Red and Cobalt Blue options are also getting involved - you’re just spending an extra $5 on those ones.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard |$69.99$54 at Amazon
PSA: The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro just dropped its price again
I highlighted a $219.99 sale price on the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro just a few hours ago, but it’s just dropped again. This multi-platform gaming headset is now available for just $199.99 at Amazon, an additional $20 off that previous sales price. This another new record-low on the Xbox / PlayStation model - and this offer only appeared a few moments ago.
Top Tip: Don’t take flash sales for granted
I’ve seen a number of particularly speedy flash sales jumping on and off the shelves already this Black Friday. Between gaming laptops and TVs, these sales have been landing on slightly more expensive gadgets so far. If you do spot a time-limited offer, and it meets your price, specs, and features needs I’d recommend jumping in sooner rather than later. Once these deals are gone, they’re gone.
Spotlight: Alienware
Owned by Dell, the Alienware brand has become well respected in the world of gaming PCs and laptops. It’s an expensive logo - one that comes with its own price buffs just by virtue of being an Alienware device, but these machines do boast a particularly high build quality and perform pretty well in testing as well. Alongside PCs, Alienware also produces some of the best monitors around and fills its shelves with headsets, keyboards, mice, and chairs as well.
Three Alienware gadgets have made their way into our ranking lists over the last couple of years and they’re all looking pretty strong this Black Friday.
Alienware Aurora R16★★★★Alienware took a different design route with its Aurora R16 gaming PC, dropping the curved chassis of previous generations for a more traditional box case. There’s still plenty of RGB in here (and power in those components), it’s just a more grown up affair. With top of the range performance and quiet operation, this is an impressive machine - but upgrade options are limited.

This machine has seen some fantastic Black Friday deals so far, so that value is doubling down right now.

Spotlight: Turtle Beach
Turtle Beach used to set its cap on cheaper hardware, catering to bargain-hunters with headsets and controllers that fell well below usual price ranges. These days, the brand has evolved. With more premium accessories taking to the market, quite a few of Turtle Beach’s gadgets are held in high esteem by PC and console players. With its acquisition of the Roccat brand, it’s also expanded its offerings through keyboards and mice over the last year.
There are three products that I’m keeping a closer eye on this Black Friday, a mouse, headset, and controller that have all made their way into our top lists this year.
Turtle Beach Kone II Air★★★★Previously a Roccat device, the latest Kone gaming mouse takes the budget range and elevates it with features and specs far more befitting its price tag. Gone is the replaceable battery and boring design, instead we’ve got a wide pointer perfect for those with larger hands. This is one of the more comfortable gaming mice I’ve tested this year, though its chunkier design means it’s not quite as nimble on the battlefield as slimmer models.
Today’s best deal:$119.99$107.99 at Amazon

❌You play faster paced games

Turtle Beach Atlas Air★★★★★The Turtle Beach Atlas Air is the most comfortable gaming headset I’ve tested yet. It’s an open-back design, which makes for a much wider soundstage and more natural acoustic system overall. However, that also means sound bleeds in both directions - not ideal for those who play in busier environments. It’s not easy to find a wireless open back headset at this kind of price, though, so it’s well worth investigating if you have a quieter setup.
Today’s best deal:$179.99$135.85 at Amazon

Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra★★★★★Pro controllers aren’t cheap, but the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra perfects everything from its back buttons to its durable hall effect thumbsticks. It’s also a super rare wireless controller compatible with Xbox consoles, and that’s incredibly difficult to find. Personal Pick: Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is $20 off
It’s over 9,000 up in here this Black Friday, with a gaming deal so good you’ll wonder who the heck summoned the Dragon Balls. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, the wonderfully unbalanced fighting game with stellar reviews pretty much across the board, is at its lowest price yet on PS5 and Xbox.
