Enshrouded metal scraps are an important crafting material used used for a lot of early early recipes and generally an important starting resource throughout. Your first armour set, the forge crafting station, nails, metal sheets, and many other essential items all rely on scraps. Unfortunately, metal scraps are hard to find if you don’t know where to look, something confounded by the fact you can find them before you need them and then have no idea where you got them.
In this Enshrouded metal scraps guide, I’ll show you how to find scraps. I’ll also list the best metal scrap crafting recipes and one particularly great metal scrap farming location so you can get plenty early on.
How to find metal scraps in Enshrouded
You can’t get metal scraps in Enshrouded by mining or smelting ores because unlike, say,Enshrouded string, you can’t just make as much as you need. Instead, much like you do withEnshrouded resin, you’ll need to explore the map and find it from specific locations. Fortunately, at least, it’s available in the starting location unlike something likeEnshrouded claywhich needs you to progress beyond the early game before you can start gathering any.
Look for human settlements (outside shrouded areas) and look for metal scrap piles on old tables, near crafting stations, or on the ground inside - keep an eye out for rooms with furniture in particular. Metal scrap is also dropped by the humanoid enemies you’ll find around these settlements. Finding and looting a settlement thoroughly can often sort all your metal needs for the immediate future.

The best metal scrap location for early-game players is the village of Rookmore. Starting from the first spawn point, as shown by the lower arrow in the picture, walk towards the north. Just keep going down the green slope until you reach a large stone bridge, called the Braelyn Bridge. From here, carefully descend towards the shrouded area below (you’ll likely encounter some minor enemies here) and once inside head left, to the northwest.
After a short walk, you’ll exit the shrouded area and find the village entrance in front of you. Rookmore is full of metal scraps, but beware that it’s also home to aggressive humanoid enemies which do at least also drop metal scraps as well. Clearing out this one area will usually give you all the metal you need in one go. The enemies and loot locations will also respawn after a while, so you can keep coming back to grab more as and when you need it.

Hopefully that should help narrow your search for Enshrouded metal scraps and make sure you make the best use of it.
