Naturally there was some doubt as to if or when the new Indiana Jones game would be on PS5, as Xbox owns developer MachineGames and the initial launch is aMicrosoftexclusive, so a cross-platform release was far from guaranteed. However, the good news is that this exclusivity will only last for a reasonably short time, so PlayStation owners won’t have too long to wait before they can go on this adventure themselves. While it may seem strange to find an Xbox published game arriving on other platforms, this is actually part of a wider strategy. Earlier this year,Xbox CEO Phil Spencer announced that Sea of Thieves, Pentiment, Grounded, and Hi-Fi rush would be arriving on rival platforms– part of an effort to expose some of Xbox’s franchises to wider audiences.Black Ops 6is also coming to PS5 this October, despite Microsoft’s acquisition ofActivision Blizzardearlier this year.

Which is all to say that, yes, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is coming to PS5, and sooner than expected. Now we just need to wait and see whether otherupcoming Xbox Series X gameslikeDoom: The Dark Ages,Fable 4, andPerfect Darkwill also make the jump.
